This week was slow because everybody is still on vacation, and the people that were not on vacation went on vacation this week so everybody is actually gone now. There is a mass migration from this country every summer I guess. It is already turning into fall. It is mostly cloudy, and rains every day again, and getting a bit cooler.
new haircut, new beat

Pretty much the only thing we did this week was knock doors. We did not have any dinner appointments, and only 1 scheduled lesson so it was a good opportunity to really do a lot of lookups and finding. It can be annoying not having dinner appointments, but they can also take a lot of time up if your schedule doesnt have you working in a nearby area. We found a few cool potentials and got contact with a few others this week. You just have to find a lot little things to do to distract you from looking at your watch. But it was a good week. We met one guy who was vaguely familiar with our church and was initially complaining to us that people come along the door a lot. But in the end, he was really interested in our addiction recovery program, so we came back a couple days later and gave him the packet so he can quit smoking, and really emphasized the spiritual part of it and said a prayer with him on the doorstop. We will see what happens. We also met a guy after we knocked on his neighbors house. He came out ot tell us that his neighbor never opens the door, and asked us if we were agents or something. We introduced ourselves, asked him a couple questions, and he admitted that he had just converted recently to christianity, but doesn't really seem to believe in a church. He invited us to come back and talk about beliefs. After we left, we looked at our knocking book and found out that he had turned down missionaries before. Interesting how the Lord works, and how many opportunities we, as having a better connection with the Lord must pass up. Probably all the time.
This is the jam that I made

We finally got contact with a lady who is half Serbian and half Yugoslavian who Elder DeBloois had contacted a while ago. She is not often home, as she is raising a daughter all by herself and often at her parents house. She lived in Belgrade and asked me a few questions after I told here that Dad did the same thing in Yugoslavia. We shared some strong spiritual truths on the door and talked about families and how our Heavenly Father wants us to experience the same thing by having families of our own. She really understood it and told us that that was true, but not in a normal raction, but because you could see that she was really thinking about it and felt for herself that was an eternal truth.
